The day was beautiful here in southern Ohio today. Packed up the kids and hit the hills. Ended up finding about 100 total. Not a bad start! Came home and got my onions, garlic, lettuces and spinach in the raised beds. It was good to be out.20200328_112040.jpg

Yum yum

That’s awesome. Hell of a rub there too. We went out 2 days ago and didn’t find any yet in the honey holes. I expect the next week or two will be good.

Whoa!! That’s awesome. We’ve got over a month to wait here yet. My three year old girl went fo a walk with my wife on Friday and apparently was explaining to her all about how to find mushrooms. I don’t know how she remembers going with me last year but I can’t wait to take her out again this year.

Did you blindfold everybody in the car on the way to your early spots?

nice haul

The early spots are definitely the most valuable and most consistent in my book. It's hard to believe I've been hunting this particular spot since I was my son's age when dad would bring me up to it. He had hunted for 15 years prior to that, so we've found mushrooms every year for 50+ years in that exact same spot.

Very nice!! I haven't found one in years. Definitey need to get out and look for some. Cool nights this week might slow them down a bit.
