Good grief, (in my best Charlie Brown).

There is absolutely no person on this planet that could play the the Superbowl (and that's what it is, @Dave N - you do not have to watch it), and escape being ripped and shredded on public social media. How about Taylor? And I don't mean James). Nothin wrong with trying to bring in more of the younger audiences. They have catered to us golden oldies many times.

Has there ever been a half time that impressed you - in ANY game? I am not a Prince fan, per se, but that halftime impressed the heck out of me. How did he call up that rain storm like that?

I await the Bob and Neil halftime, but until then I'll live with Bad Bunny and not worry about it.

This should be in the General Football thread, but beats talking politics any day of the week.

I liked the LVI half time show.
Dr. Dre, Snoop, 50 cent. And I'm not a rap fan. It was like those guys just had fun. And Snoop is big into football and getting kids into it.

I think most people think Bad Bunny is way out of the norms and some are complaining about that and his political statements. But, let's throw that to the side.

Bad Bunny is an artist that sings in Spanish. He's already on record that everyone has 4 months to learn Spanish. I'm not against everyone learning Spanish, but I doubt most people will learn Spanish just to understand the Super Bowl half time show. Maybe he was trying to make a joke.

I think it's obvious that most Super Bowl half time shows aren't very good. I don't have an explanation for why they pick who they do. I also really don't care who they pick, but this one seems odd from a practical matter.

I watch the game because the Super Bowl is part of our culture. I don't expect I'll enjoy the half time show, but that won't be a first for me.

I'm a 64 yo classic rock and/or heavy metal guy. I can put up with a lot of other music (I took my wife to 2 country concerts) but some things just make me want to puke. I don't give two shits about American music or not. I like a LOT of "foreign" artists. Some of my favorites are British.

As far as Bad Bunny at the StupidBowl goes, in my mind it's just another attempt to gain younger viewers for the TV show when there are plenty of other acts that would appeal to a much wider audience. I haven't watched a game OR the halftime show for many years and have no desire to ever do so.

Just a little PSA for oldsters like us, Dave. Make sure you drink plenty of water. Gene learned the hard way!

I think most artist turn down the offer to do the halftime show. The NFL doesn't pay the artist to preform I believe

It totally makes sense that a sport that was invented and evolved in America would have a halftime show in the language of another country. The Spanish language to be exact during a time when the topic of immigration mainly from Spanish speaking countries is insanely heated. No way any person would take anything political away from the choice of Bad Bunny thats just ridiculous to politicize the halftime show performer choice. The NFL chose bad bunny for the publicity its currently recieving. Its brilliant marketing because in the end it doesn't matter if the show is a flop or a hit the NFL is already getting the outcome it desired.

Arrowed my first spot and stalk archery animal yesterday, second archery animal ever. Finished a euro for a buddy’s son that killed his first buck. Fleshed a bighorn hide and started on the euro for another friend that burned his points on a ewe so he could experience a sheep hunt once in his life. Just finished getting all my gear rearranged and organized for antelope rifle opener tomorrow.

Came to HT to learn the latest thing triggering people is the Super Bowl half time performer announcement porque el habla espanol.

Do you guys even hunt? It’s beautiful outside, for another day or two at least.

I have a 4 year old who has just started school so my hunting is in the backseat and I mean the third row backseat in those big SUVs. Maybe some mule deer in idaho late next week if I can sneak away and a trip to visit Dave and the gang after I hopefully find a deer.

Amen! Taking the boy out for youth season next weekend and looking like highs in the mid 80s and lows in the 60s. We're gonna give it a go though be good camping weather if nothing else.
