Relax, Everything is Going to be Okay!

In the day time, the man creates chaos unseen of an American President before, then at night sits on his fat ass watching the turmoil on Fox news and getting his jollies as the world burns and his supporters (such as the soybean farmers) get eFF'd. Trump is the greatest troll of all time Bar None and in some ways, it's poetic justice that the one's who've supported him are taking it in the shorts.
The last time someone did this, he was from Europe and had a tiny moustache. He also had a huge ego and was a horrible painter.

You can always tells someone's general age by their view on SS.
You can always tell who likes a policy by who benefits. Consider.... the income level to reach max payout 1998 was 68400 - 2008 max was 102k - today its 175k. The max income level is growing significantly faster than inflation and a smaller and smaller percent of workers get out of paying it. Take a look at the the tax rate (ss + medicare) through time - 6% in 1960 - 15.3 % today. And worse yet - it will have to change significantly before "we" the younger people collect.

What age range would want to accept those terms?

Yes. My sons are saying the same lines I did 30 years ago about SS going away.
They have math on their side. Strap in tight. Without cuts in payments or tax increases, this is going like you would think from looking at this chart (faster actually).

You are barking up the wrong tree. Tell that to the boomers. I won't be eligible for SS until right about the time the benefits are projected to get cut by 25%. All I can do is laugh. And the solution results in those that work hard and pay in the most are less likely to get a benefit. But suggest we get rid of it and let me know how that goes.

The richest country on earth, that gives tax breaks out the ass to centi-billionaires, can't figure out how to fund SS...isn't that something?

You and i agree theres a problem but likely disagree on some solutions.

Whats pathetic is typically no one in the legstative branch even acknowledges the problem cause they arent even willing to have the conversation/debate.

I think you would be surprised at the number of people who STILL believe the economy is better today than pre this shitshow. I would guess than the number is falling as corn/soybean farmers try to sell their crop.
Do not feel too sorry for them. They voted for this fraudster overwhelmingly. They will be bailed out with .gov subsidies.

The StupidBowl's latest version of halftime "entertainment".

Alright, I'm trying my best to stay out of your house's politics, but since this is about the Super Bowl, I'll chime in.

Who cares? He's a popular American musician who resonates with lots of younger people. What's the difference between made in USA Bad Bunny and all the other non-American musicians who have played their crappy music at other half-time shows?!?

The Super Bowl/NFL is a private venture and they've clearly made their homework and found the best artist to make them $$$. Millionaires want more millions, not lose them.

Are you a fan of Kendrick Lamar, Rhianna, The Weeknd (a Canadian Commie), J-Lo, Shakira, Bruno Mars, et al.? I honestly don't see the issue with Bad Bunny, it all sucks to me anyway...

The only thing I'll sh&t on Bad Bunny for is for being in that awful Happy Gilmore 2 movie... What an absolute cringe trainwreck that was!!!

No, no, no, no, no, and no.

I'm a 64 yo classic rock and/or heavy metal guy. I can put up with a lot of other music (I took my wife to 2 country concerts) but some things just make me want to puke. I don't give two shits about American music or not. I like a LOT of "foreign" artists. Some of my favorites are British.

As far as Bad Bunny at the StupidBowl goes, in my mind it's just another attempt to gain younger viewers for the TV show when there are plenty of other acts that would appeal to a much wider audience. I haven't watched a game OR the halftime show for many years and have no desire to ever do so.

No disrespect, but this is kinda the point. You aren’t the target audience if you haven’t been tuning in and have no intent to.

Sounds like there will be a TPUSA worship hour if that’s more your speed 🙄

And just to clarify, I don’t listen to Bad Bunny. Good beats, but I like to sing along and I can barely speak one language, let alone two. Same reason I don’t listen to screamo - I appreciate the musical talent but I want to understand the words. That being said, I’ll still watch the game and the halftime show and will enjoy it for what it is. It’s a global entertainment event and if the show gets a bunch of non-NFL people to tune in for the halftime show, that’s just good business.

None taken. I quit watching years ago when I thought things were going downhill. I think the Janet Jackson incident started a downturn in the show as well as the commercials and I don't know that it's gotten any better. And actually, I had already been watching less and less football anyway. We stuck with the Superbowl MAINLY for the commercials and some gambling. If there was a halftime show that I was interested in I very well might tune in to watch it. For the record, my reply about "entertainment" had nothing to do with the controversy about Bad Bunny being the act. It was a broad inclusion of many years of what seems like the same style of performers and the lack of variety for different viewers. No political intent, no specific artist slam, just one guy's point of view of the situation.
