Used to have a bunch of them in my collection from way back when. Couldn't sell any at the yard sale and they went into the dumpster.

Way back in the day, a fast pitch softball team I played for in Fargo, was sponsored by the Schmidt Beer distributor. They also employed a couple of the players on the team. The distributor gave the team all of the breakage each week, for weekend tournaments. The guys working for them, made certain there was enough breakage inventory.

I always thought Schmidt was a definite step up from Hamm's.

I too think it’s time for just that. Not to stereotype ourselves with a beer drinking debate, but further into the greater concept of outside influences creating unwanted change to further some righteous agenda.
Like the bears in Montana. Black bears always been there and now grizzly encounters should be expected with the density as it is nowadays. So now someone/group(s) came up with the idea to mandate bear spray. I can dig that at face value same as seatbelts. It’s when you really trace back the causation of seatbelt law that you get to the self-serving interests: insurance company profits. Insurers actually didn’t give a goddamn about clients ejecting through the windshield. It was the hefty payouts that brought the lobbying to mandate seatbelts.

So now yeah, big ole CS can size of a small fire extinguisher is useful to repel anything. Not just the bears, but all mammals. Ok, cool, but why do they care? Nobody ever told me I need any alternative option with a CCW. So ain’t that some shit? Is it a great oversimplification to say the righteous people who go around stirring pots care about grizzly bears more than human life?

Now here’s another angle, could this have support from private ranches? The ultra wealthy estates, you know, the King’s hunting grounds. Because wardens and other LEOs enforce the law where they have jurisdiction to do so. Private lands are accessible through warrants or immediate just cause, yet it is a higher standard than a Texas DPS dog alerting to a potential nickel bag.
These seemingly polar opposites in Montana, the new righteous people and the new owners of huge hunting ranches or ranches that derive significant income from hunting. These groups have different end goals yet may have the same means of reaching those ends.
