Well the last couple of months have flown by, and the time has come. Tomorrow morning I hop a plane for the great white north of British Columbia to chase grizzly bears. The plan is to put an arrow in a good respectable bear. Not out to break any world records, just hopeful I can make it work with my stick and string. From what I have been told, hunting these bears in the spring with a bow can be pretty tough. Without the berry patches or salmon streams to keep the bears concentrated and in one place, opportunties can be a lot harder to come by. This is a mountain hunt, so I suspect we will putting some miles on the boots and spending some time behind the glass. I plan to hunt the first 4-5 days with my bow and then if need be switch to the rifle.
Other targets of opportunity will include black bear and wolf. With any luck, I will have a full report with photos and videos to share in a couple weeks.
Wish me luck!!!
