Old Mudder Trucks

Someone sent me this old Promo Tape of a Dodge Brothers sedan going though the muddy roads of an early Oil Field. I don't know how many horsepower was under the hood, but I wouldn't want to have been following Grandpa in a modern truck! John

Did those narrow tires help them go thru mud like that? Or just the fact that it was so light? Seems like even most 4 wheelers would have got stuck in that stuff

that is pretty wild considering there was no such thing a s 4-wheel drive. heck i'd think twice about some of those places they went with a 4- wd
