Need three more tunes

Here's to the twilight Here's to the memories These are my souvenirs My mental pictures of everything Here's to the late nights Here's to the firelight These are my souvenirs My souvenirs I close my eyes and go back in time I can see you're smiling, you're so alive We were so young, we had no fear We were so young, we had no idea That life was just happening Life was just happening Here's to your bright eyes Shining like fireflies These are my souvenirs The memory of a lifetime We were wide-eyed with everything Everything around us We were enlightened by everything Everything So I close my eyes and go back in time I can see you smiling, you're so alive I close my eyes and go back in time You were just a child then, and so was I We were so young, we had no fear We were so young, we had no idea That nothing lasts forever Nothing lasts forever Nothing lasts Nothing lasts You and me together Were always now or never Can you hear me? Can you hear me? I close my eyes and go back in time I can see you smiling, you're so alive I close my eyes and go back in time You were wide-eyed, you were wide-eyed We were so young, we had no fear We were so young, we had just begun A song we knew, but we never sang It burned like fire inside our lungs And life was just happening (and nothing lasts, nothing lasts forever) And life was just happening (and nothing lasts, nothing lasts forever) I wouldn't trade it for anything My souvenirs

It is WAY past my bed time but wanted to get this off to those who have contributed since my last post. Thank you gentlemen !

I think two tapes instead of one will now be in the works and that is a good thing.

I thank each and everyone who contributed, but sometimes one might forget a tune and then remember it and also remember a "time and place". A couple of songs suggested did that.

Souvenirs, I carry a John Wayne charm, so this one "hit home"

but also,

The movie the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, ----- Garth's, The Dance,----- George and Tammy, ------ B and D 's , Red Dirt Road could have been written from my ( our ) life.

I thank each and every one of you . Good Night and thank you

Not exactly with the same theme as the rest, but I would want a memory tape to bring a smile.

Some ultimate “good mood songs” that popped into mind are Suite Judy Blue Eyes (CSN), Ain’t Wastin’ Time No More (Allman Brother), Honkey Tonk Woman (Rolling Stones).

and along the same idea as Treeshark, my grandfather said you should mix these two into the tape. Both by Tom T Hall

Old Dogs, Children and Watermelon wine

Cowboy and the Poet

There's been a few duets of the past such as Sinatra and Fitzgerald, however, it wasn't until Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga did their duet that "Lady Gaga" really emphasised the meaning behind, The Lady Is A Tramp that I really spent a few moments to listen to the words versus the tune. Her name turns me off though her voice thoroughly overcomes.

Anyhow, without further ado,

harley, Gene Clark, the "original" Tambourine man --no pun intended. And not to be confused with Clarke (-;

Sytes, always enjoyed that Tune and parts of it fit, but not all (-: Definitely not the hair. As an aside, my granddaughter suggested a year or so ago that we dye my hair and I told her it would take a lot more than changing my hair color (-: or )-;

.But if I do, it will not be whatever color her's is (-; I also enjoyed our time in California. I was very fortunate yesterday to have a conversation with Brittany Chukaman about calif and it brought back beautiful memories. Not just the Troubadour, but the Palomino, the Bear, as well as 101 ( Laguna, Balboa, Hunting Beach, Long Beach, Hollywood, Catalina ) as well as a little sports car conversation ------- Thank you Brittany.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen . EXCELLENT suggestions and they are appreciated.

p.s. cheyenne. Yes I was forced to listen to The Cowboy and the Poet, many times (-: (-: somebody needs to write a song about younger men, more wine,--the horses and money part can stay the same (-:

Admittedly, I hadn't heard this song until I heard John Legend play it.
From Simon and Garfunkel to Aretha Franklin, they all did this one with the passion it deserves.

Simon and Garfunkel shared the impressed use of a few lines regarding, "sail on" that struck with my thoughts of your travels and the symbolism it bestows. I noticed John legend chang ed those lines to fit his intent. with that I thought I'd share Simon and Garfunkel's version as well.

Yes, Michael Clarke was the percussion timekeeper '64-67....he and Gene Clark both died in their mid forties
