I’ve never understood why that is.They get the benefit though of trying to get the better capped elk zones and also controlled elk tags. As a resident we’re basically given a choice of one or the other but not both
It’s a way to reduce the demand for the capped tags.I’ve never understood why that is.
I’m gonna see if I can go 0-for-20Add in the leftover tags available in the monthly leftover otc releases.
Yeah, suppose they don’t care what the nonresidents go for but just found it odd the same thought process didn’t apply to nonresidents. It’s a way to reduce the demand for the capped tags.
Good for you! Low draw odds this year. I’m hearing lots of grumblings about the draw. Lots of grumblings on the first come tag allocation the last few years too. Idaho should consider placing the former OTC tags into the controlled hunt draw to spread out the tag demand to a greater amount of tags, increasing draw odds.Feeling lucky. Received my congratulatory email yesterday and bought my tag this morning. Happy to have the opportunity to be back in Idaho this fall
Personally, I'm fine with that. NR have to by a license to apply. If Idaho ever changes the system to refund the NR license fee when unsuccessful in the draws they should consider changing it to a similar process to the R. I don't see that happening though $$.They get the benefit though of trying to get the better capped elk zones and also controlled elk tags.
