Leftover tags are from people who drew the tag but did not purchase a tag.Im not sure how it all works. I have 3 friends that applies for Bannock A 1st choice and didn't draw, but there is 36 tags left?

YesDid 36 people not buy there tag by Jan. 20th?
I know two guys that didn’t buy their tags because the rest of their buddies didn’t draw and didn’t want to go alone.Im not sure how it all works. I have 3 friends that applies for Bannock A 1st choice and didn't draw, but there is 36 tags left?

Another that didn’t purchase his deer tag because he didn’t draw elk and wasn’t interested in just deer.
I bet there’s quite a few that weren’t picked up for similar reasons???
Crazy huh?Toss away $200 and think nothing of it. And people think tag and point fees will lead to people dropping out. LOL
IDFG made millions on this idea. I heard one rumor that IDFG had 7k new applicants entered into the system.Toss away $200 and think nothing of it. And people think tag and point fees will lead to people dropping out. LOL
They must like their friends more than I like mine.I know two guys that didn’t buy their tags because the rest of their buddies didn’t draw and didn’t want to go alone.
100%. Everyone seemed to be predicting the demand would go down, and I thought no way. The marketing of these tags and the FOMO is too high.Toss away $200 and think nothing of it. And people think tag and point fees will lead to people dropping out. LOL
Yes!If I got a general elk tag the first run can I now apply for a deer tag in the 2nd run?
The one rule I believe they have is you can't get drawn for a species in the first draw, not buy the tag, then apply for that same species in the second draw.If I got a general elk tag the first run can I now apply for a deer tag in the 2nd run?
I returned i guess technically didnt purchase what is probably the best elk tag in list because it was $650 vs $40 DAV price I paid for the second best tag that is also on list since I drew both. (New capped vs non capped DAV requirements) This was one of my complaints on design, should of done youth/dav week early, then major draw later would of eased some strain on system also.I'll be trying to pick up my deer tag again. I can't believe some of the elk tags that weren't purchased...
