Drew an elk tag for unit 36a. I was stoked as I had hunted this unit in the past an seen some big bulls. Found this bull opening day and decided he was worth putting my tag on. I saw a bull the day before the season that would have scored around 330 but could not find him. This bull was about 48 inches wide and scored around 312. We had a fun hunt saw lots of bulls. Had to deal with pouring rain and about 6 inches of snow.

Nice job! That is a nice bull! The country up there is tough. Did you have a tag for the east or west side? I have always wanted to get back to that unit! Congrats

Awesome bull congrats. Have been snowed or rained on just about every Sept. I hunted it.

What a great bull.
I have always heard that Idaho is some steep country, but that is ridiculous.

Good job....well except for making my old neck hurt looking at pics.
Used to hunt the Selway-Bitterroot out of Paradise...up Bad Luck creek to top to a drop camp and then hunt on foot....fun times then, could not even think about doing it now!
