Nice buck congrats. As for cleaning the pack, a hose, a bathtub (preferably an extra one) and some mild soap is what I normally go with. Make sure anyone you live with is okay with you making a mess in the bathtub.

Good advise on all accounts. I use Woolite and let it soak overnight. You'll be amazed at the grime that will come out of the shoulder straps and waist belt.

Hydrogen peroxide works well to take out the blood stains before washing.

Mine soaks in tub for awhile rinse it off... refill and add scent free detergent and let soak overnight and rinse
