HTer Goals '25 Edition

I continue to spin, but am now out on my mountain bike a ton. I’m doing modified yoga right now after jamming my wrist and pointer finger going OTB after clipping my rear tire on a jump. I feel great. I’ve been helping building some trails too.

Elbow surgery on Monday to clean out bone and cartilage fragments. I’ll keep spinning, and be back out soon.

Surviving winter without gaining much weight is a challenge. Seems like I've accomplished that this year. Now that the snow is leaving its time to hike more. I need to have targets to reach, immediate goals like steps per day, then steps per month. Beating last years Jan, Feb, and March numbers - so far so good. Steps sinking in the snow on a mountain side the other day were different from the usual walking around the neighborhood steps, but they all help.

Accomplished the seasons goal of doing the rim to rim to rim so early in the season and without getting injured that I think I need a new goal for this season now. I mostly have avoided running and would like to work on that ability.

Here’s a video of our hike from this past weekend that my friend put together.

That’s hard core! My neighbor did it with his son a couple of summers ago. Straight thru - 17 hrs. It was a bucket list thing for turning 65 that year.
