Goals with determination will put the high country enjoyment back into life.
After several years of boasting about no Covid, it hit big time in December, exacerbated by a sinus infection and then bronchitis ... just shortly following my four-score birthday. The 2025 prediction was for a life at the old folks' home or even cashing in my tags for the happy hunting grounds.
Then with determination, 'signed up for the family traditional Ice Breaker Race in Great Falls, followed by the Sweat-For-Vets 5k in Bozeman. Once the coughing relented, 'started running again (or my senior version thereof) and conditions improved much. Now back to running the hills and hiking hard, Saturday includes running the Gov Cup 5k and gathering with some of the octogenarian GFHS classmates at the York Bar for beverages, burgers, and BS. Each year as we end the celebration, we commit to meeting again the following year and pledge to continue with the goals and determination which keep one moving ahead! As my 101 yr old Mom would oft express, "Move it ... or lose it!"
