I was just thinking how lucky I am to be able to hunt multiple states for deer and started counting a few bucks I have pictures of on my wall. Since 2001, when I first was able to hunt multiple states, through 2010, I have been blessed to harvest 23 bucks. 2009 was a single buck year, but the rest were pretty good. LIFE IS GOOD. (I didn't count 2011 since it was a single buck year as well.:(

Headed to SD in a couple days with a couple more buck tags in my pocket. Might not fill both, but I will be spending lots of quality time in the field.

Time to go deer hunting....again.:D

Alright, enough of the self-righteous.;)

I've bow killed 6 bucks since I started hunting in 1989. We've had a 4 point per side antler restriction since 2002, and I haven't killed a buck since. I just started gun hunting in 2010.

I've bowhunted white-tail in Ohio, WV, Illinois, and Arizona. Bow hunted mule deer in Utah, Colorado, and Arizona. Most of those with traditional equipment. No kills, but many nights under the stars.

I did kill an antelope buck in Wyoming this year. If that counts.

Awesome stats! I'm just hoping for one this year, but a BIG one:)

I have never never killed an elk with bone on the mellon. I need to learn that one of these days. Good luck on your buck.

Jealous of your experiences. I have only taken one archery buck since I have been in MT. I hope to be lucky enough to hunt of a few of the states you mention.

Two weeks of hunting feathers....I can't wait to get back out and chase some deer.

Good luck all.

Welcome to SD in a few days, I will be heading out wed morn. for the NW part of the state to try archery for a few days then switch to rifle. What part of west river are you headed to? Hope you have a successful hunt. according to the weather we just might get a little snow next weekend:hump:

I will be hunting east of Sturgis and also have a Hills tag. Grew up in that country and always fun to get back and chase critters.

Good luck to you as well.

Good luck!! IMO, you've had a very good track record on bucks. Congrats! I hope you take some pictures... ;)

Its bad enough that you have some amazing bird hunting, but you have to have that with big game too!!! Its not Christian!

Congrats, keep posting up pictures of your adventures!

Good luck miller. Looking forward to seeing the pictures of this year's adventures.

Ducks for elk....sweet.:D

I'm up for that trade.... as the name say's......

on the main topic of this thread, I personally have been hunting with a bow since 1998 and started in eastern Montana, out by Froid if anyone knows where that's at, I got too thinking also and in my young hunting career "28", i've taken 15 antelope, 9 deer, 1 elk, and countless upland birds.... I think out of all those only about 3 antelope and 2 deer were taken with a rifle, the rest were bow kills... plan on extending some of my hunting too other state's if my beautiful wife of 8 years today will let me....
Matt

22 bucks for me not including nubbins. 6 of those are archery, 1 is a mule deer, and one is from minnesota all the rest are from my home state of wisconsin.

As far as does and nubbin buck I couldnt even honsetly tell you but it would have to be around 50-60 I would say.
