For several months I've had tinitus, high pitch whine in my head. That resulted in a hearing test, results where borderline moderate loss at higher frequency
The only heaing symptom i have is pulling a single voice out of a crowded room. I dont think people mumble, i dont ask for things to be repeated and i dont need the tv turned up
Went in for the consult thinking "nope", but then they out a pair on. My own voice sounded weird, others in the room where fine MAYBE slightly cleaner sound. What did happen was background noise, ac fans for example, they werent there, then they were. Wife said she heard them when we walked in. Tinitus was pretty much gone
Any advice from others who went down this road?
Im reading about links to dementia, brain atrophy etc due to hearing loss
I believe i will need them, eventually but now I've gone from "nope" to considering it
