Ok, as long as you shoot at further distances also.
But....
If your impacts don't match up with the calculated velocities, your going to have to adjust your bullet BC anyways.

Just out of curiosity, what’s the hype with light for caliber bullets? I’ve noticed it especially with the hammers.

With all monos (barnes, hammer,, gmx/cx) you go lighter for caliber. Monos like speed for expansion.. Monos are longer than lead core for same weight, so you go lighter to match coal. Lighter=faster

Sooo uhhhhh, load development is going well with the 125 gr HHT.

First group is with H1000, second is R26. Going to load up 10 shot groups of each and run them over the chrono.

Shot a string of 10 with each powder, different charge weights each round, to find pressure. Backed off a grain from first pressure sign, loaded 5 shot groups at -1.3, -1.0, and -0.7 grains from pressure - both groups were the -1.3 gr.

Will run another 10 of each powder over the chrono, most consistent wins.

According to the interwebs, yes. But also comes with, on average, 200 fps more.

If both groups stay consistent with those first groups I’ll have a big decision to make - speed or temp stability.

No, I’m just working off quickload right now, but it’s showing R26 as ~200 fps faster than H1000 at the same pressure. I’ll know for sure Monday when I shoot them over my POS chrono.

The target is obviously in the wrong place. Move the target until it lines up with the point of impact.

I would say that dead is dead. Good , bad, or indifferent, the bullet did it's job seemingly quite well.

Just pointing out that a video posted because of a new wiz bang bullet had the same effect a round ball.

Good ram but no need to point out a specific bullet when you shoot them in the spine.
