Ironic youre getting roasted for this here. Just goes to show - something getting likes doesnt mean its right. It’s great to have adolescents in gov’t. Entertainment when you hear a 19yr old and speak to/against a bill, and they say “well for my whole life, it’s been this/that”. Should be a 32 yr old min for legislature, and have to have at least paid taxes for X yrs.
I suspect they would all be deemed evil genocidal settler colonizers.
I dont think its all that crazy to say that a 20 year old is simply not qualified.
let's be real, being a male over 30 in 1776 was often putting you into geriatric territory
That’s true, but a 30 year old today has had access to a ton more disinformation than those guys did.
Point being: I don’t think it’s fair to discount younger candidates as “unqualified” just due to age.
As if the burnt out old boomers are so much better and have done such a wonderful job???
Speaking of adolescents, some never seem to get past that point in life no matter their age, (see our current white house occupant).
Also, the kind of statements like you just made are the exact reason people hate politicians and politics. Your job is not to discount or mock a 19 year old whether a fellow elected official or a constituent, your job is to listen to their concerns and work with them in an official capacity. Nice to know that apparently the only people you represent and care about are those over 32 years old and who have paid taxes for X number of years.
Hope you don't have to count on young voters
Those ppl were men, most like not still living at home.
I’d never disqualify someone for age. I disqualify them for antics. That too.
While I don’t have data to compare modern IQ to that of 1776, the drastic increase throughout the 20th century suggests that a top-level modern young adult is far superior in that regard to those from 1776 as well.
Point being: I don’t think it’s fair to discount younger candidates as “unqualified” just due to age. As far as the taxes argument, that is slippery slope… by that logic: what about lower income voters, government workers, public school teachers, many ranchers etc… who aren’t “paying taxes” at the same rate as many others (as defined as humans being viewed at tax assets vs liabilities)?
There are some who are, just not many.Ironic youre getting roasted for this here. Just goes to show - something getting likes doesnt mean its right.

Maybe if politicians would get off their ass and work for their constituents on an obvious housing problem, they wouldn't have to live at home. Those ppl were men, most like not still living at home.
