Fresh Tracks Weekly - Vote In Your Primary Election

Two years ago one party changed their nominee for President without a single vote. Politicians don’t play fair, usually.
Yes. And i said that was the same thing then.

President shits his pants was incapable of finishing the job and hid it and then the nomination was given to her. To me - thats not quite as gross as literally rigging the primary.

Stifle competition doesn’t equal stolen.I get that you didn’t want Daines or anyone he coordinated with, but the result would have been the same if the timing wouldn’t have been as close.
The bigger issue to me wasn't that Alme was put in place. The real reason -- and Daines freely admits this -- was to prevent any viable Democrat from filing.

If they couldn't beat Daines, they weren't going to beat Alme. That said, the Bankhead ads are pretty good. It seems like she is about as good as the Democrats could pick.

Wonder how the lobbyists are going to convince this guy? Too young for whiskey 😂
It’s great to have adolescents in gov’t. Entertainment when you hear a 19yr old and speak to/against a bill, and they say “well for my whole life, it’s been this/that”. Should be a 32 yr old min for legislature, and have to have at least paid taxes for X yrs.

I’d also like to publicly say a big thanks to “the Big Fin”. His endorsement of my candidacy was very welcome!

As if the burnt out old boomers are so much better and have done such a wonderful job???

Speaking of adolescents, some never seem to get past that point in life no matter their age, (see our current white house occupant).

Also, the kind of statements like you just made are the exact reason people hate politicians and politics. Your job is not to discount or mock a 19 year old whether a fellow elected official or a constituent, your job is to listen to their concerns and work with them in an official capacity. Nice to know that apparently the only people you represent and care about are those over 32 years old and who have paid taxes for X number of years.

Hope you don't have to count on young voters in your district...

I figured you won, because the locals didn't take kindly to outside money running a smear campaign against one of their own. That might work in parts of MT were there are lots of recent transplants, but the highline is not one of those place. Maybe though, it was just the power of Hunt Talk, a political force you do not cross.

Don't worry, I've met quite a few young republicans that make you look like a democrat.

I’ll respectfully disagree with you here. If they are old enough to die in a war in a foreign country, they are old enough to run for office. While I agree with you they are lacking in life experience, their job is to represent their voter’s interests. To me it’s a little telling about his opponent, and the state of politics in general that he was able to win the primary by such a margin.

I think the main point was the $'s paid in taxes part.

All I know is that surely I can’t be the only one disappointed that sometime in the Highline primary election Albus didn’t send out a flyer showing him hugging a wolf with rainbows floating out from the wolf’s posterior….😀
