What is your goal for this fall? How are we doing on the "fat off"
only a month left boys.
Me, I guess I am almost there, but still want to get that last 5 pounds off but damn it gets harder every year:eek:
Going to try that 90 mile bike race i did last year in a couple weeks, just want to beat last years time by 1/2 MPH average or better. Been doing O.K on the cardio, need to work on more strength but no time!
Did a weekend of mountain biking last weekend, I am no MT biker for sure, and went with a bunch of guys who do it a lot. I punished them on the hills to make up for my lack of skills in any technical spots. I impressed the hell out of them by falling down 12 times in one day. It was ugly, my legs look pretty gnarly right now with scabs all over

I seen your Colorado pictures you just posted, you aint no spring chicken. Hey Kenny Rogers called, he wants his look back

Actually, I'm hoping to finish this race (www.redmantriathlon.com) in September......You get in shape quickly when training for one of these. Just ask Moosie......

But in the mean time the wife and I are headed out tomorrow to Wyoming for some hiking/scouting/picturetaking.

Till next week....

I've fallen on the wagon and on to the "Fatter than I was" truck... I'm not feeling too bad since finances and work are keeping me out of the hills this fall. :(

I've dropped 33 pounds since the first of May, so I'm not too bad. Could be better.

My weight is in line but I need to start hiking/running more to get my cardio and legs in shape. I'm also going to start p90x on Aug 1st to burn my remaining fat off. I'm going into the Frank in late October and I want to be in GREAT shape.

I am so screwed on the weight front. Do you know how much weight you can gain when the wife has her Kitchen remodeled? Take out or some crap like that! John

I run three miles 2-3 times a week and ride my mountain bike ten miles 2-3 times a week and throw in a bout the same in weight room. Not the most aggressive plan but it keeps me in good enough shape to hit the hunting season hard.

Ummm. I ran for the first time this year on Monday, 3 whole miles. I have been lifting weights and that's about it. I'm pretty much slow on everything this year. Just started shooting the bow last week. Nothing like adding a new rest and sights on a great hunt with only two weeks before it starts. Wife says I do this chiz every year and it always seems to work out.

Anyway my regimen will be to run 3-4 times a week and shoot 1000 arrows before the hunt.

P.S. I put on the Rip Cord rest on and was pretty happy with the ease that it went on. A full report after the hunt ends.

I've gotten into the triathlon thing, not the fastest guy out there but they keep you motivated. I train 5-6 days a week usually swim twice a week for an hour, bike twice a week for 60-95 min and run once to twice a week between 40-60 min.

The first sprint distance was a little tough especially on the swim but after the first one they have become enjoyable.

Try to shoot year round but this year it has been tough to get the practice in. But in the next week I will start fine tuning the shooting.

I like Triathlons.. But mostly because I ge to wear Spandex ;)

I've swam alot more then I did last year for Training. I don't like the Jarring of the Knees on the run. I knwo that will catch up to me. swimming is Simple. I lay on my back fat and put a Midget on my chest and he paddles me to the finish line :D :D

Race is in 3 weeks. there is another one closer in 2 weeks. HAven't decided if I'm doing it yet. the swim is to dang short. I'd like a longer Swim......

I run once every 2 weeks and I rode my bike once.... I swim 2 times a week though. that should count for something. I did 1/2 mile in 17 mins yesterday. Not sure if thats good or not ? I'm bringing a Stopwatch tomorrow to get it to the seconds.

Moosie good luck on the race in 3 weeks. let us know how it goes.

a 1/2 mile in 17 seems good to me. I think my first race I ended up swimming 400M in around that 17 min time, that was an eye opener.. The last race I did the swim was 750M and I think I finished a touch over 16 min.
