You know you can still catch and spread covid while vaccinated right? The more data comes out the more negligible the difference looks. Time to come down from that high horse and realize we're all still on the same ground.
Hardly. The vaccine test data for the ORIGINAL virus showed a greatly decreased risk of becoming infected. At that time the govt would have approved a vaccine that tested 50% effective against infection. The world was desperate. Pfeitzer, Moderna, and Johnson all greatly exceeded 50%. They also tested for debilitating factor: if the vaccinated somehow did become infected, how sick would they get? Both numbers for infection and sickness effectiveness varied between the vaccines but all exceeded expectations. Johnson vax had about the best stats for keeping an infected person out of the hospital. Pretty much a 100% as I recall but slightly less than the others for preventing infection.

The problem is that the longer it takes us to get to herd immunity, the more opportunity for the virus to mutate and reduce the vaccines' effectiveness. Therefore, the longer people resist getting vaccinated, the longer it takes to achieve herd immunity. In the meantime the virus can mutate to the point that the original vaccines will no longer be at all effective for either infection OR preventing hospitalization. Then the pharmaceutical companies will have to start all over again from scratch in what will essentially be a whole new pandemic. And while we wait for them to develop another vax it's back to lockdowns, travel restrictions, etc all over again. And the next time there won't be any "personal healthcare choices." Enough of that expensive deadly foolishness. We're all in this together ... whether the deliberately ill informed like it or not. Next time it will be get vaxed or get locked up ... and I'm okay with that. I'm not wild about being a perpetual hypodermic needle pincushion and living in anxiety and discomfort just because others want to prove a point about personal liberties.

How do you make "personal healthcare decisions" in a pandemic when your decisions affect everyone else's health? Man, I just don't get that. A helluva lot of people in North America obviously didn't pay attention at Sunday school.

I'm glad you and your family lucked out with COVID. I hope all the folks you spread the disease to are as lucky. The odds are that won't be the case.
Your posts bewilder me. You continue to spread propaganda and half-truths while trying to tell others how they should or shouldn’t live. Meanwhile, you’ve been traveling all over the place on various hunting trips.

Fully vaxed, tested, and quarantined on both ends of the trips. Also fully masked, hand sanitized, and social distanced at all venues everywhere. Anyway, I'm a lot safer in the field hunting than I am staying at home and going to church or grocery shopping.

At what point does the chronic paranoia and anxiety from fear of covid start to be counted as physiological symptoms? Chit like this does scare more than the virus, at what point did big pharma become our saviors? Pfizer currently holds the top spot as the entity that has paid the largest criminal fine in US history..

To make my post relevant I've had covid once confirmed last May( I do believe I caught it in the beginning after a business trip in Chicago late March 2020 before they even had test available for the public), In May 2021 I along with others got if at a birthday party from my BIL parents who had picked it up on a trip to the casinos. This time I had pretty much cold or mild flu symptoms minus fever. Head felt like a balloon with congestion dry cough that hurt a bit achy body. Only difference from the flu was again no fever, I did have an appetite only thing was everything tasted like cardboard at best. Lasted about 5 days with the heaviest symptoms lasting about 2 days.

In March 2020 about a week after coming back from Chicago I ended up getting pretty damn sick covid had just been here a couple weeks and the ah dude you got covid thing was almost a joke. I hadn't felt anything like it, i was basically worthless, extremely tired and my body felt like I had just been hit by a truck. I took a full week of leave just to lay in my bed and toss and turn with aches, never had a fever and could eat but again everything was just so damn bland, going to eat would wipe me out and then back to bed. At this point only celebrities and politicians were the only ones who seemed to have access to testing. I am pretty sure I had got it back then but who knows...

In the meantime I have been exposed in close contact numerous times such as sitting in a duck blind all weekend with my friend who tested positive the next Monday at work or from spending the day with and eating dinner at SIL who tested positive a couple days later. My daughter just had her first week back at school after a 10 day quarantine from someone in her kindergarten class testing positive. She said she had a headache for 2 days then the next day was bouncing off the walls again. She got sent home on a Thursday and since we have another daughter who was still going to school and didn't want to send her in if our daughter did catch it,, we decided to give it the weekend before deciding if we would test our girl that got sent home.. besides he saying he had a headache for those first 2 days she never showed any symptoms of being sick so we desided against testing.

I apologize for the detracting, I do believe that Covid is just going to be part of life now. I think we need to move forward with treatments and try to salvage what we had before the pandemic. Freedom Ontario, time to free your mind my dude. Your not some pincushion and you seem like your living the life you want to live, take it easy man.

Going to bury my only brother in law on Friday. Found him dead on Friday at home. He had been battling Covid-19 at home. He was never married and lived alone. Un vaccinated 63 years old. We are going tonight to tell his mother who is very ill in a nursing home that her son is gone. My wife is about to hav a nervous breakdown. Very sad. Stay safe everyone.

Damn that's a shame. Take care of your wife in this tough time.

Just got a message from my son's kindergarten teacher saying one of my son's podmates tested positive today. That'd explain the cough that came on Thursday night. Glad we kept him out on Friday. 3 year old is starting to cough and I've had some weird gastrointestinal issues today. All going to get tested tomorrow.
When I had it all I had was diarrhea and was tired. Slept almost a whole day. Get well

We got the phone call you don’t want. The hospital told the family to come now. Waiting for the last daughter to get here and we’re hitting the road. This is beyond @#*$*) up.
