Fires in 54 ID

My buddy has a supertag elk this year and he is headed down to 54 to do some more scouting, while I head up to Coeur d' Alene to attend my wifes grampas funeral. Any body know if the fires down there have the roads shut down? Also anybody best friends with Bedke down there?

I may have been in touch with Mr. Bedke. I'm sure if you are cordial, you'll have no problem finding out where the elk are in that area. Just look at his signs, Sportmans are WELCOME!! I'm also sure you shouldn't have to look to terribly hard to find one on the public land in the Goose Creek to Oakley area.

Last I had heard this morning is that most of the fires that are still active are in UT and NV. 'Course we don't get the ID reports in our office. The Winecup complex sure has blackened lots of country, most of it on the NV side. An earlier fire did burn a lot of country around Jack Pine Mountain to the north of Snowville.
