My dad and uncle have had a tradition of hunting together out of state since about 2001 consistently. Now they are 80 and 75 and they decided that in 2022 they were going to burn their points on a General Tag and book an outfitted hunt in Southern Wyoming. No horses, no tents, no high elevations over 10k, and most importantly, No Grizzlies.
Uncle tagged out on Day 1. He has always been the one to shoot the first elk he sees. they tend to be more tender than the elk my dad and I kill.

Dad passed a few bulls before he shot this one. He said it was the biggest of the bunch.

Happy for my dad and uncle to both have success. Just wish I could have tagged along.
