My niece and her kids came up for their yearly vacation so today was a family day. Lots of wildlife sightings today and my wife took some good pics. Fishing was great, 131 crappie in 2.5 hours. Now that the spawn is over they are really filling out and getting nice and thick.

From what I've seen it looks like there was a good hatch

Nice! That pile of fillets makes me hungry. I bet that took some time.

Thanks for sharing.

Looks like a fantastic way to burn a day. The barn owls are way cool.

From set up to clean up it takes 2.5-3 hours. I just accept it as part of my work day. Since May I've done just over 4600 crappie. It's a 2 stage process, I fillet with an electric knife and my dad trims with a Havalon fillet blade.
