I get that more people are trying the hunt, but at least commend them for trying cause they are crazy for doing it, especially on foot.

It's a bummer that you guys don't/can't feel good about sharing it anymore. I've read every post and enjoyed them while never having the slightest inclination to give it a try.

I have noticed your participation, and I hope for you, and selfishly for myself, that the thread does not fade into oblivion.

Emerging from a self imposed exile to chime in here. I for one am grateful for this thread, and simultaneously support its demise. I was going to take my crack at the cats last year, but some dramatic health issues intervened. That really stung, as I grew up in those mountains. They still feel like home, even while I live thousands of miles away.

Right now, I can't foresee any way for me to ever get to go home and do this unless the attention dwindles a little bit and keeps the kittens growing into toms. I think the real canary in the coalmines for me was the back to back bloodbath's in everyone's favorite unit. The Bodingtwine feline is another sickening waypoint in the change of my opinion, but the real icing on the cake was when I started seeing random people talk endlessly about this once hidden gem on insta and fb. The tragedy of the commons is real, and sometimes we need to shut up and protect the wild places.

i have read this thread and kept up with it. You can subtract my views of the pictures as I have no personal desire to shoot a cat. It is just an entertaining thread, so not everyone who reads this is jonesing to hunt a feline.

That guy should do something useful like make landowner tags only good for their property when they draw instead of the entire unit what a meat head

Tabor has had some good amendments and some bad as well. Region 7 mule deer doe tags was a good one. This one doesn’t seem bad either.

This amendment would definitely decrease the amount of unlimited hunters. With 0 points and having drawn a limited tag, I don’t have strong feelings about this, but I think I would support it.

However, there may be a bit of selfish interest at play on my part since I only plan to hunt unlimited if I decide to sheep hunt again when I am eligible in 6 years.
