Dreaming of September

It's not my photo, just one I like and heisted. It motivates me while I'm working out; preparing for this fall.

Oak, Nice photo! Are you headed to Alaska? I hope this is the year I draw my Colorado Big Horn Ram tag, I'm looking forward to the day I get that tag.......

One of these years I'd like to go after a Dall. Have a great hunt and be careful on those slick glaciers and kill a big one!

There you go Hiker, now you got me thinking about building PP's. Nice picture Oak!

I'll agree, not the biggest ram, but he sure looks handsome with all the fall flora. Great pic. I saved it.

Great pic!! I hope to be able to try to chase one of those in the next 5 years. IMO, they are probably the prettiest NA trophy.

Oak,

What are your expectations for horn size?

Are taking the first legal ram or holding out for a certain measurement?

You wont get many chances to kill a 160+ dall sheep in your life...this is that chance.

His guide, who is gay, better not let him shoot the first legal ram they see...or else Oak and his gay guide will both get an ass-kickin' when they get back.

After 13 days in the Chugach Mtns...I know neither would have the strength left to kick my ass.

Tom,

I hunted white sheep in the Chugach Mtns...killed a good ram, as good as anyone could hope for.

Oak has a real opportunity to kill a sheep that would make mine look like a lamb.

Chances will be even slimmer in the Chugachs after this year. East of the Parks Hwy the entire range goes to a draw starting in 08. If it wasn't for me drawing my tag in Delta this year, I would be spending my sheep season in the Chugachs.

Ovis,

I heard that, glad I went when I did.

There were quite a few big old rams in the open units and the price was less than 5k.

Now its draw only and the price has about doubled...OUCH!
