Draw results process

Not really sure how State draw results work and why they take months after the fact of putting in applications?

Are they computer generated, random results?

Colorado’s application deadline is a month before deer, elk, pronghorn, bear, and moose license quotas are set. Sheep and goat quotas are set in January, which is why those draws are conducted first.

Colorado also does a massive data migration of applications from their IPAWS system to the draw system, which takes a couple of weeks IIRC.
