Ohio but my heart is always in the woods
I had a miss this weekend on a nice doe. I checked out everything and I was right on.

Still sick from the flu so stayed home and did a walk about the fence line. 5 minutes max. I saw a couple small ones in the field and got close enough for a shot. Heard the thunk and they was off. Waited a hour and went back

25 yards from shot

Yes it is small and a button buck. I needed the confidence booster and it worked. I had never tagged a deer in September so I am pretty pleased by it. I did wipe the milk off the lips and used spray paint to get rid of the spots.:p:p:D:cool:

State never got back with the landowner yet.

Oldest son is giving me so much chit right now for killing a small one. Said our pit bull is bigger. I told him Mom would not let me shoot it so it was either this or one of the chickens.:D

The oldest son came in and said mom dad shot your dog oh boy i went nuts so now I going to put orange on her when she goes out don't trust anyone here. He is lucky it was a deer and not my pit bull or he would be in the dog house. :D
