    Hey man. Hell of a hunt you had and enjoyed following your hunt. Lots of terrific memories that you seemed to experience in the backcountry with the most important being that it was a DIY hunt with your son! I drew a tag for this unit in 2024 and was wondering if you'd be willing to share any tid bits of information.

    Hey, thanks for reaching out. We e scouted quite a bit before we went in. Then we took a trip and went to each of our scout areas. we had 7 areas to check out. We looked at 6 E-scout areas before we saw any elk sign...then we were in it. And it was awesome, so my advice is to e scout, pick some areas and then go check them out. Also, elk were still bugling on Oct. 9-10.

    Thanks for the response! That'll be the plan. Been e scouting and got a few spots in mind. Was there any snow in the higher elevations when you were there?

    It snowed the second day, about 3 inches. It was cold and the weather was changing rapidly. Lots of wind as well.
