...please consider signing the petition supporting the creation of a sportsmen's license plate. There is a legislative requirement that 3,000 signatures be collected before it will be considered by the legislature. Funds generated by the plate will be used to increase fishing opportunities and expand public shooting range facilities in the state. Everyone is likely well aware of how limited public shooting facilities are in Colorado.

This is a self-imposed tax. If you don't want the plate, it won't cost you anything. Read more and sign the petition HERE.
 
Oak, this program was started in arkansas about a decade ago it has been a HUGE success . The first plates had whitetails on them then the game and fish added others.Black bear, turkey,ducks,rainbow trout,bass. It gives people a chance to make a ''statement'' and fund G and F . It seems like every grandma has a hummingbird plate.The bulk of the money goes direct into the G and F fund then 10 percent is species specific . Full disclosure my truck has been sporting an elk plate since they came out.
