So when I read any hunting magazine, there are always pictures of celebrity hunter's with this or that piece of gear that they are promoting. Sometimes though, there will be a picture of 2 people and they each have a huge buck. The odds of them shooting 2 monster's in the same day are almost 0, and yet neither deer has been gutted or skinned. Lee and Tiffany come to mind. They have lots of ad's with their picture and 2 bucks together. So to get to my question, do these guy's even take the meat from these animals that they are killing or do they just take a bunch of pictures and throw them out to the coyotes? I mean, say Lee and Tiffany shoot 2 monster's three days apart, then they take some pictures with them together with their product for the advertisement. There's no way they are eating that meat, right? Or are those types of ad's just photoshopped???

1) I would aSSume photoshop...but why dont you think they have enough money to buy a walk in cooler or freezer?

Photoshopped

I wouldn't think celeb hunters would take the risk of getting caught wasting game, but a few have lost their reputation over similar stupid actions, so who knows?

....Then I better not post the pics I have of Tiffany on my cell phone from when she came over to visit :D

But seriously...I heard a story about Chuck Adams shooting a bull elk..then having his picture taken with it in a couple different changes of clothing and writing up different stories for the same bull

I was a ATA this year and lost some respect for a certain TV host, they were stating that is was because of respect for the animal that they did not gut the animal and waited until the next day to take pictures....my Dad would have slapped them for being stupid....I have had to leavve deer over night due to unsure shots, and lost the meat...but intentionally leaving it to get good pics for you TV sponsors...BAD. I stood there and heard them admit to doing it, this is not hear say. I was shocked, but I am just a punk kid! :)

I think with all that money dumped into private hunting lands, with loads of game, it is possible. Hell, I watched a show with Cameron Hanes the other day and he was hunting the Hill Ranch- I've never seen so many big elk except in high draw areas. But, if you're willing to shell out 12-14 grand, I'm sure you and a friend can take a photo just like you describe without wasting meat. And, I'm pretty sure that the horns are the only part that is harvested on many occasions.

I know a ranch that clients pay big bucks to harvest an animal. The guides do an excellent job handling the rack and meat. But, it seems the client usually leaves with just the rack... and donates the meat to whoever.
