I have lived my life in Montana and I don't recall a fall that didn't freeze hard by this time. All the flowers in the flower garden and the hanging baskets are still in bloom. Leaves are still on trees and some are still green.

Unbelievable...

Wondering myself if the hot ,dry summer has something to do with the spectacular Fall colors this year.
Last year it was crazy cold on the opener.
Nothing wrong with some actual Fall once in awhile....nice for those of us that make a living outside.

and chase sheep all over the place...

Same here in IA, first time I can recall. Forecast is not for a hard freeze until next week (Nov)

Last year we had no fall, first snowstorm was early September felt like we went straight from summer to winter, 3 out of 4 hunts I was on had snow and freezing temps! This year has felt like a normal fall and the colors have been great, had freezing rain at our house last night though...it's coming...

Warm here in the east too. Leaves are just starting to really change. Some of our spots will be tough to hunt with leaves on the trees. Nice to have pastures for the cows though.

It's a late fall here as well. Finally had a soft frost yesterday. Colors along the lake shore are not even at the prime. Hasn't stopped the leafers from making M22 a chit-show though.

Crazy, we had several hard frosts already and we're typically WAY milder than you MT folks. Our petunias were gone around Oct 1.

Here in Corbin, MT, we’ve had multiple frosts, as well as a few inches of snow a couple weeks ago. But for the most part a mild and long fall. Frankly I’m loving it.

Heading to hunting camp right now. Mid 60s tomorrow then a big drop.

Still picking and eating sweet corn on November 3. Last year I got back from Alaska before September 19th and there wasn't any to be had.
This year I got back the end of August and have been eating it since.
I think I finally got my fill.

It is now November 4, and the flowers are still in bloom. What a fantastic fall...
