Calibres you'd like to own

Anyone got a spare $9.5k they want to spot me!

I always need to remind myself I'm saving for an international hunt not a rifle when I see this type of thing (not that I have $10k lying around).

Doubles are things of beauty.

35 Whelen bolt
.35 Rem in Lever Action
.338 Marlin Express Lever Action
16 ga modern beretta semi (just not a Browning A5 lover and prefer semi over double barrel, sorry Ben/BrentD) - but it will likely never happen.

Right now...either a .358 Norma Mag or a 338-06. Maybe the big sister for my 300 H&H
I like the idea of the .358 Norma, although I have never even seen one. I think I just like how it sounds, haha. A friend of mine has a .358 STA. Pretty sweet gun.

The only 2 I can think of is, a Savage Model 99 in 300 Savage, I think it's just a cool rifle. And the other is a Ruger American Ranch rifle in 450 Bushmaster, a friend has one, and it's short and lightweight, accurate and fun to shoot, however, it is extremely loud.

here you go!
Don't put it off, lest Randy's mantra catches you.

There's so many different calibers & cartridges anymore. I'd likely be happy with one or two of each, but for starters:

1.) 50 Caliber:

.500 3" Black Powder Express
50-110

2.) 45 Caliber:
450 Nitro Express
45-70

3.) 40 Caliber:
450-400 3" Nitro Express
405 Winchester
404 Jeffrey
40-65 Win

4.) 375 Caliber:
375 H&H
375 Ruger

5.) .358/9mm
9x57 Mauser
35 Remington

6.) 8mm/.32 Caliber
8mm Mauser JS
8mm Mauser Ackley Improved
8x60
32 Winchester Special

7.) 30 Caliber:
303 British
300 Savage
300 WSM

8.) 25 Caliber:
25-06
257 Roberts
25-35

9.) 6.5 caliber:
6.5x55 Ackley Improved
6.5 Mannlicher-Schoenauer

Man of distinguished taste 👍

.260 Rem
.257 Roberts
6.5x55 Swedish

Something about "mild", mid- range cartridges for whitetail really intrigues me. I never really saw the point of punishing my shoulder or ears when I can get it done with a nice fun to shoot type caliber.

I'm looking forward to 8.6 Blackout once it gets SAAMI spec, otherwise I've tried most of the ones that interest me.
There's an odd thing about 8.6 blackout, and not sure how this relates to SAAMI spec, but PTG claims their 8.6 blackout reamer is SAAMI. Nothing else says SAAMI.

In the past I tried to stick to PTG reamers and Redding dies as I heard PTG supplies all the reamers for Redding. Redding has a set of 8.6 blackout dies also.

[EDIT: not sure why that links claims to be 6.5mm x 284, that page should link to the 8.6 blackout]

Lets try to keep this going for a bit longer. I have 4 Shiloh Sharps currently, 1 40-65, 2 45-70's and 1 45-2.6 aka 45-100. I think a #3 30 inch octagon barrel chambered in 50-2 1/2 aka 50-90 would be a great hunting rifle.

Also a 257 Roy and a light weight 243 ai.
