In terms of our public lands, among others. In terms of illegal immigration?
Who wouldn't be. Not just now but for a long time? Not to further derail the conversation, but I’m highly worried about the national debt and the level of military readiness.
Apparently the POTUS.Who wouldn't be. Not just now but for a long time?
The way I read it, he was blaming Biden for Trump’s administration running roughshod over a national park with heavy equipment. I also read it that he was saying the need for the wall was Biden’s fault when we all know Trump was screaming from the rooftops about that wall long before Biden was president. But, yeah, everything is Biden’s fault. I get it.Not really what I asked, wasn't what @schmalts was referring to either. ( at least not the way I interpreted it).
Well if illegal immigration was at the current numbers during Biden's term would there be as much reason to worry about the next President that does the same as Biden? My opinion, we only need a wall if there's a guy like Biden in office. Right now we don't need one but the current guy in office is gone soon. And for clarification, is this bulldozer running through the "middle of a national Park" as the media portrays it or is on the border? If it's on the nation's border it's really a bit of a stretch to say it's going through anything, because it's really on the boundary of it. I don't know, haven't been there but I'm leery of most news. Hell 6 or 7 years ago The border patrol was whipping men from Haiti on horseback, remember that? I'm not saying I like to see a wall through a park, but it's a shame reason has been given to justify one in the first place. The way I read it, he was blaming Biden for Trump’s administration running roughshod over a national park with heavy equipment. The way I read it was, if every past administration would have enforced immigration laws, it wouldn't have given Trump the immigration platform to run on in the first place, which iirc was one of the biggest issue voters said determined the election on 2024. I dont think anything was bidens fault due to the fact he personally wasn't really of charge of anything. However the blame the last guy is nothing new unless you have a really bad short term memory. What do i know though I'm not a HT expert like some here, just a simpleton who thinks both sides are a bunch of pedos and thieves. Time to go fishing, have a good one.The way I read it, he was blaming Biden for Trump’s administration running roughshod over a national park with heavy equipment. There it is again..... Is it going through the park or on the border. Details matter. I don't know why or where they would put a wall other than on the border, and that wouldn't be through the park, it would be on the boundary of it.Is a 30' wall through Big Bend NP what you want? Is it going to solve the problem?
And is it worth the costs?
What amount of costs would it not be worth it anymore?
The entire southern border of Big Bend NP is the Rio Grande. Unless they put the wall down the middle of the river it'll absolutely run through the park. With the geography in that park especially the bluffs along the river a wall is completely unnecessary for border enforcement and not what I want my taxes spent on. I'm all for strict immigration enforcement and agree with you on the failings of the previous administration in that department. There it is again..... Is it going through the park or on the border. Maybe a philosophy major you are? Semantics you seem to like. There it is again..... Is it going through the park or on the border. Details matter. I don't know why or where they would put a wall other than on the border, and that wouldn't be through the park, it would be on the boundary of it.
I've worked with a couple survey crews in the past that cover a couple miles in heavy brush. I've cleared lots of paths down property lines. I had one crew that pushed probably a mile down hill into a canyon through VERY heavy brush and couldn't get back through it back uphill. It was kinda fun taking a dozer in to get them back out.Well it’s obvious.
They have the bulldozer there to rescue the surveyors when they get lost.
When the surveyors get lost they often times pound a stake in the ground and the bulldozer typically shows up within 37 seconds and runs it over.
Some people (surveyors) might get that joke. lol
