Blind Monkeys and Bananas-Sheep 08

Now it is almost 12:00pm, the fog/clouds do this weird shift and come off the top of the mountain, but not down off the side of the mountain. We decide the best option is to go to camp, sleep til it gets a little lighter and then come around the side and below the cliffs to find him the next day. THe fog is just to thick and it would be a waste of time. My nerves are shot and we are both starving.

Picture of the Artic sun way in the Northwest with the fog below.

We go to sleep til 4:00am. Wake up and pull camp. Then head off the side of the mountain. Drop off our camp stuff and start side hilling it to where we think he is. The fog is still pretty thick but is burning off slowly. Mike is ahead of me and through the fog I can see him jumping up and down:D

You can see him to the left of the small cliff, almost center pic.

The ram had died and rolled straight down the hill in the fog. We just could't see him.

The blue tracks are getting up to him then packing him out.

The fun of hunting Alaska. By land, sea and air.

Last year the river was at least 2 ft higher. We might have been able to wade it but just packed the raft a mile or so.

Thats about it. On my hunt I was hunting and Mike didn't take the pictures like I did.

Thanks to everyone on Hunttalk that always post up so many pictures of their hunts. It made me start putting my camera on the hip belt of my pack, easy to get to so I took lots of pictures for a change.

Thanks for looking!!!!!!!!!

the blind monkey musta got himself a seeing eye dog!
incredible! Congrats Dink.

That's an amazing tale mate, you guys scored bigtime. For us fellas in the South Pacific a hunt like this would be once in a lifetime. Nice of you to share you exploits, its truly inspiring.

Incredible! Well done on the sweet trophies. Looks like an great hunt.

Yeah, that looks great!

I missed the added photos while I was in AK. Pretty cool. The aerial photo makes you appreciate that hillside, because the photo of the ram band looks like it's on a golf course. ;)

Almost looks like you can see your tracks in the shale from when you packed out bro's ram. Good job!
