Awesome photos so far. This one's going to be fun to look at with all the photos.
Here's my first buck, 1983, eastern MT whitetail gross scoring 180 2/8 officially. I shot him in the neck with a .243 from a hayblind I made. I was alone, before school on the 3rd day of season. I picked his antlers from the prior season, he grew 20 inches in one year. I don't think I'll ever top this one, especially in Montana.
My best muley buck taken in Northern MT during the rut, on my mother's birthday in 2001. I've an eastern MT buck that scores exactly the same, but this one's a better deer. 194 1/4 gross.
2001 bull elk from the Gallatin Canyon, opening day of archery season, September 1st. I first saw this bull on June 22nd, my Dad's birthday. Have a photo of him, but you can barely tell it's an elk and it was only grown to the royals. Not actually my biggest bull, but highest scoring, 374 gross P&Y. It was about a 60 yard shot, steep uphill and quarting to me, right in the heart. He ran uphill, collapsed and tumbled down hill, stopping within 15 yards of me.
MT pronghorn, taken in 2009. 85 3/8 gross. Should have had him several times during archery but blew it. Had I arrowed him he would have tied the MT state record at 84 1/4 net, which was taken by a friend of mine about 25 years ago. Shot him on the opener of rifle season. He's about my 4th favorite that I've taken.
Here's a lucky one. Black bear taken in western WY. Was going after a different bear, and ran into this one. 7'1" square with a 19 15/16 skull. Fred King couldn't squeeze an extra 1/16th out of the melon to make the awards book. My only bear rug, even though I've a stack of better hides, slightly smaller. Definitely not my favorite bear trophy.
Here's a lion I shot in 2004. I've never been on a guided hunt, but this one was pretty close to it. 4 friends basically did everything except pull the trigger. Doubtful I'll shoot another. He weighed in the 140s and had a 14 3/8 skull.
Best for last, my MT Shiras. Couldn't find the score sheet but I think he's 163 and change gross. According to the B&C listings, the best MT bull taken in the last 5 seasons. Kept tabs on him all summer and shot him on the opener in 2007 south of Dillon.
