While hunting yesterday afternoon I looked up to see a large Coyote about 200 yards out, since we have so many of them I wanted try and thin them out. Boom, splat! After dark my Uncle and I looked for it, but I did not see it.
This morning on stand I see a real dark coyote step out in the same place, a road Teeing into the Pipeline I hunt. Following it is a real large Blond Colored one. Once again Boom, splat! The old Ruger Boat Paddle in 300 winmag does a number on the yotes.
When I walked upon the second coyote I looked under a bush and there was yesterday's yote, both good sized males.
Here is what I looked over on the drive back to the truck.
I really wish that I had a scale to weigh this yote as it was a Hoss!!!
What was fun was as I sat in my stand in Shreveport, La I was talking to Ken in Witchita Falls, TX as he and his grandson Kolter were after pigs and yotes.
When I say I wanted to thin them out, take a look at this Game Camera photo from last year. There are 6 Coyotes in this one picture!
Hope you enjoyed the pictures! John
