BHA congressional contact link for writing your Senators and Reps about the public land selloff.

This is disgusting. I get that a senator would look out for their own state, but they have an obligation to look out for what's best for the entire country. There is a bigger picture here.

I gotta tell you I'm done. I hate the far left and what they stand for. I'm there with the far right as well. If these two cut a deal, I'm never supporting them again.

Can you imagine the pressure this could put on Montana public hunting in the future? Or what it will do to our wildlife nationally?

Honestly, do they think selling off public land solves our financial problems? Land sales are a drop in the bucket and provide a short term resolution. We don't have a revenue problem. We have an expenditure problem.

Edit: just reached out to those two asshats to voice my concern. They will lose the votes of this conservative family if they go through with this.
My bet is it gets pulled. 1) Mike Lee isn't the most popular guy because he tries this stuff all the time, 2) the parliamentarian may cite it as a non-budget item (although I suspect they might just ignore the parliamentarian on a lot of stuff, following my "Rules are for losers" theme), 3) and because there is a lot of other shitty stuff in this bill. MT senators will need to sneak in screwing the 20% of their population on Medicaid in the near term and putting rural hospitals in financial difficulty in the long term without a lot of blow back. The best way to do that is to be able to declare victory in getting this line-item pulled.

They don't care about any financial impact. This bill makes our financial problems worse and you, as a supporter, still think there is an expenditure problem. They are betting they can show a victory and you won't change your vote, probably because you won't.

I think we've found your underlying problem.

True, but ive got a killer moustache wax lined up so im half there.

in seriousness

I expect foolishness out of Laramie, thats who he is but as someone who is more versed, im a little suprised you rushed to build the shield wall rather than add some insight. Utah aint Montana, the politics are different, emails from bha mean nothing to them. Tens of thousands of hunters, from all polifics, all in slc, all talking non stop about public lands, creates attention. It puts light on someone like Ammon Bundys cousin.

In seriousness. If you’re taking Ben’s and my response as a shield for BHA it’s not. Speaking personally, I actually have beef with our MT chapter on some areas of personal disagreement. That’s not to say that I don’t agree with them in other areas and can’t recognize and appreciate their efforts in other areas when they get it right.

By law BHA as it is structured is not allowed to do the activities you’re saying needs to be done.

Instead of criticizing them for what they aren’t allowed to do, form the group and structure it to be able to legally do what you say needs doing. Be the change you demand from others. Otherwise, be “old man yells at cloud.”

I prescribe a rack of Banquets and a pack of Marbs to restore some semblance of a curved brim.

What Gerald said.

Hunt talk is the BHA forum. If youre not aware of the reputation, thats what it is. And its well known, thst mentioning them here otherr than in glowing light, brings out exactly what Laramie does.

Thats why i comment on BHA here. In other places, that have different reputations tge discussion is different.

But because i do actually engage with politicians on this state, im aware of how totally unknown, BHA is. Thats why i comment on mass emails from BHA to Lee or Malloy here.

I saw a video long ago with Busse and a bunch of BHA dudes in a townhall where the bundys were speaking, they made their prescence known. Be nice to see that here, thats all.

Hard to tuck ears in a curved brim😉

Comments sent. Keep up the good fight all.

I emailed all of the BHA chapters and national boards taking them to task for not addressing male
pattern baldness and Internet spammers like I had pointed out as issues earlier in this thread. No change yet. Planning to start posting on Rokslide and other social media platforms next.

Have feelers out to see if I can get on Rogan’s podcast and Piers Morgan to spread the word further…

Or did you mean to keep reaching out to politicians in opposition to Mike Lee’s amendment? 😁

Id love for anyone to tell the story of public lands on JRE. Platforming that is important - and i've basically begged @Big Fin to do it as i feel theres no one better.

Rogans views, hobbies, canned hunts, medical opinions, and whatever else is near irrelevant to me - i couldnt care less about it if the message is getting out to a wide audience.

I ran into my Senator today at the gas station. I asked him about this issue and he was pretty belligerent to the whole idea that this was much of an issue at all. I tried my best to convey how bad an idea it was to sell off public land, but it fell on deaf ears. He really couldn't have cared less.

Don't forget, PLT has been a GOP priority since Reagan, written into the national party platform every year. Except 2024, when trump blocked any national platform statement so he could Project 2025 without limits from the national party. That is what your GOP votes have done to promote the looming takeaway of our priceless public land legacy. They put it in writing annually for 44 years, and you kept electing them. Own it. See if you can change it by calling the GOPs you elected and discouraging their support of this debacle.

Post front walleyes kicked my ass today. Marked fish all over hell stacked like cordwood and managed a (one) single bite. Ended up throwing him back.
Anyways, it was so poor I killed time by spamming my senators with phone calls and emails. Threw a couple emails Senator Lee’s way as well. I told them whatnot was vehemently opposed.
Anyways, keep the phone lines lit.
