Attack on the Feds independence

I don't think the average American realizes just how bad the rest of the world perceives the US right now, not just this administration, but the whole country. It will take years, if not decades, to bring things back the way they were and that's if things ever revert back.

We always figured threats to our sovereignty would come from Russia or China, who knew they'd be from our closest ally?!?! What an absolute gong-show!

the average adult american reportedly has the reading comprehension of a middle schooler.

hence why we're in this mess.

Reading is so 1990s. No reason to read when you can hit the gram, watch reels and tik tok

It makes me feel ill. And that suspicion and disgust that will last for years, seems pretty reasonable right now. The absence of Canadians here in the Adirondacks has been quite noticable this year (usually a big part of the tourism industry here). I don't blame them one bit. And I wouldn't blame them if there were cold looks and mutterings when I'm across the border, but I haven't seen a single one yet. "Gong show" is generous.

It was embarrassing having to apologize for the first hour I was in the Yukon. As noted above, Canadian tourism to the U.S. is way down. I don't blame them, I wouldn't visit this mess right now either, if ever. There isn't anything in the U.S. that Canada doesn't have and in spades.

Plenty more article after article on the decline in tourism.

“America isn’t the way it is because he’s president. He’s president because America is the way it is.”

true to some extent.

it's still a minority that are both happy and comfortable with what is going on right now.

Canada’s nervous after Venezuela for some reason…

Oil aside, it would be a shame to destroy Canada wildlands and wildlife like we have in the U.S. Make no mistake, that's EXACTLY what we would do in the name of "progress" and the bottom line.

I never realized just how bad Corporate America has sacked the U.S. until I hunted in Canada. It's nothing short of a goddamn miracle we even have what's left, and its not been an easy fight to keep it. I think the next 20 years is going to be detrimental to what's left. Nothing is off limits if there's a dollar to be made.

I'll respectfully disagree. January 6th and the past election campaign trail should've been a pretty big warning.

One of my mentors once told me: "what you ignore, you condone".

Yeah but January 6th was a peaceful protest, as the new history tells us.

If thats the case and you wish to bring awareness - evidence does a lot.
There is much more but obviously you don't want to know the truth.

Project 2025 and Monetary Policy

The Project 2025 playbook offers policy prescriptions regarding the future of the Federal Reserve and monetary policy. At a minimum, the authority of the Federal Reserve would be significantly reduced; at a maximum, the Federal Reserve would be fully eliminated. The authority and regulatory power of the Federal Reserve, combined with how monetary policy would be implemented, would be transferred to “elected officials,” meaning that presidential and congressional power over monetary policy would increase while the Federal Reserve’s authority would be significantly decreased or eliminated.

The Project 2025 monetary policy proposals include:

  1. Returning the U.S. to the gold standard (commodity backed money).
  2. Elimination of the Federal Reserve’s dual mandate of maximum employment and price stability replaced with a focus solely on price stability.
  3. Reduce and limit Federal Reserve purchases of financial assets, including federal debt and mortgage-backed securities.
  4. Limiting the Federal Reserve’s lender-of-last-resort function, which offers loans to banks near collapse.
  5. Exploring alternatives to the Federal Reserve System, including elimination of the Federal Reserve and the implementation of “free banking”.

Polls and statistics say the majority are unhappy with the state of our executive.

As to the warning signs - I’ll refer you back to what the average reading comprehension is of an American adult.
