In what I do I've been seeing what appears to be an increase in people getting handed separation agreements these past few months, due to "job elimination". The timing seems unusual from years past, as to when employers would traditionally make cuts (such as, before end of a quarter, or before end of year -- happy holidays -- when the algos big employers use, indicate that not enough employees quit during the year as predicted). But I also think some of these employers more recently cutting, within a few months of doing so, realize they actually need certain roles so they hire back.
