Another Resource

For those starting their search for information on their hunts. Check out Google Scholar, it is designed to find researched journal articles. It is not a widely known about resource, I learned about it in a research class in graduate school.

I used it to find papers written about elk in New Mexico. I ended up finding a researcher who had lived and studied the elk in my unit for about 5 years. Needless to say he was very helpful on finding elk.

It can be very useful. However, most of the journals are not open access. Most of them require a subscription. If you can't download the article you're interested in from home/work, use the library at a nearby college/university.
