Actually I did end up with elk tag soup, but with only a few days left in the season I was able to get this buck and avoid a double serving of tag soup. He's not in the same league as Greenhorn's, IB's, or IB's wife's. Heck for that matter he's smaller than most of the bucks posted on this site this year...but he is bigger than Moosie's. ;) :D

Bigger than my almost tag soup buck. Shared the same elk tag soup with you this season too. Very nice field photo Big Sky. What camera do you have? Santa may have to bring me one of those.

For those of you wondering about my eclectic taste in camo, I was wearing camo pants as you can see in this photo. I had on a matching coat, but it got too friggen hot. However that sure changed a couple days later. Right now outside it's -9 degrees. It takes more than just a coat to stay warm today.

Way to go! I sure miss hunting eastern MT.

Nothing like hunting in MT over Thanksgiving week in a T-shirt... BTW I like my MT elk tag soup with a little hot sauce. Then Again I could just boil it with a leg bone out of my CO elk. :D
