Advertising 2900 with a 156 grain Berger out of a 20” 6.5 creedmoor whether they actually get that is another story. The handful of 6.5 prc you’d have had to lean on them pretty hard to get 2900 out of a 20”. Plus the 6.5 creedmoor will have quite a bit less recoil

Hype didn’t make me buy any rifles in the last 25 years. I bought that seekins as a good friend had one before me and I really liked it. 6.5prc because I was steered that direction by a handful of friends that shoot way more of a lot of things than I ever will in addition to a giant headstart on years of loading for it. It’s unlikely I’ll ever chamber a factory made piece of ammo in it but you never know.

Closer to $50/box on Midway. Considering probably 95% of hunters shoot a box a year. Not a huge investment. Hell there’s people that pay hammer prices for bullets at $100+/box of 50

Good Point. Guess I've never looked at the factory PRC.
Reloading gets you quite a bit more....but I guess you could probably say the same if you reloaded the new Creed round too.

I was actually hunting a lot before I bought my element with a borrowed 6.5 GAP and lost fps by not going that route. It wasn’t the decision maker. I’m rebarrelling my 6.5prc to a shorter barrel - last concern was losing a few fps.

You’re going to blow a bunch of unburned powder through that ribbed suppressor cutting off another inch.

Sounds like you need a creedmoor

Yeah. Funny. I should actually post over there. Give them guys an aneurism over me shooting a .30 with a big bullet. Powder charge that would make them cringe. With a barrel that is about the same length of their rifle. Haha. mtmuley

I just skimmed that forbidden form (rockslide). You’d probably know better than anyone, but I saw a comment on the Tika‘s being on the slower end of the velocities for the peak ammo. Is that true?

I was tracking a bull through the timber with my 26” browning in 7 mag with an awful loud break last weekend. Thinking to myself, how nice a suppressed 20-24” gun would have been. Just exploring some options lol. The creedmoor is getting the last laugh on this one
