L, I've been out a few times on Ft C the number of WT hunters is off the scale! Had a nice MD buck at 30 yds in TA 8 the Wed before TGving; he was on a hot doe and wouldn't leave her. Oh for a tag! Also saw two yotes in there. Since it's a Low Veloc area calling 'em would be a real challenge...- Osvidar

What will be the next must have? I've used sticks they are okay. OTOH I see gear showing up all the time that seems designed to move more $ rather than really improve our experiences. Need Vehicle Advice !
My '07 Honda Ridgeline (83,000 miles) will tow 5000# gets ~20 mpg (w/o tow), has s small bed and a hidden trunk. AWD with a rear lockout when you need it. Not good 'off road' but rides like a car and handles graded dirt fine. Too bad it looks like a soccer mom truck ;-P- Osvidar

:confused: Who are backcountryhunters.org? Seems we have so many conservation groups: RMEF Mule Deer Fdn,, WTF, Trout U., Etc. we may be diluting ourselves. OTOH, if they are a legit group with a niche, I'm interested. BTW-- SCI or Dallas SC?- Osvidar

2014 Colorado Big Game Brochure
Page 27: New whitetail only OTC 'B' licenses in ~15 areas including my home turf (591). Looks like P & W thinks they're an 'invasive species.' What I've read says that's pretty accurate. I've been killing mulies but since it's a 'B' I should get two deer next Fall.:) -

CO just mailed out the Big game Brochure and there are new, Over-the-Counter, late rifle, either sex and doe 'whitetail only' licenses available. How do you pick what size of a mule deer to shoot?
I think I'll be where Mt Muley is at next season. After a long layoff I've killed does in 2011 & 12 and finally drew & got a buck this year. The wife doesn't like venison so there's no real motivation for meat anymore. Hope to find out about Elk in 14 be my first so if I get a bull tag I... -

Sage, Great pics, thanks. I imagine that if the barrel is moving around the strap with the butt pocket is too loose or the pack waistband is too loose. Does that make sense Glass Eye?- Osvidar
