My sheep hunt is over. Finally found some rams on land I could hunt. We had a nice stalk and found them bedded for a 75 yard shot. Blood trail was sparse at first, we mistakenly went to where the sheep disappeared after the shot instead of the shot spot. No sheep at first and panic set in. Backtracked to the shot spot and found a little speck of blood to follow, the blood trail picked up and I found him lying about 115 yards below the bedding spot.
I was blessed to have access to some landlocked public land and private lands to go through to get him out.
