Just curious how the economy is affecting these expensive elk apps in WY. Don't get me wrong, even at the high price, the opportunity to hunt elk in WY is worth it in my budget.
Wonder how many of you are actually applying for elk, or just for preference points. And if so, regular or special.
I have talked to some friends who are just doing points this year, in hopes that things will get better and they will have more cash when they do burn those points.
Since I drew last year and burned all my points, I am going the special tag route this year, but that amount of cash is a crunch.
Will have to ask the wife to loan me some money from her slush fund that still holds the proceeds of all my stuff she sold while I was gone this fall. Oh well, she won't know until the Cabela's Visa shows up sometime next month.
