WY bear

Bear I shot yesterday.

Not a great picture, took it with my cell phone as the batteries were dead in my camera.|oo

I'm no bear hunter, but I really wanted a black color phase so decided to shoot this one. Saw it the first time at exactly 2:00 pm...shot it just after 3:00 pm and back to the truck by 8:30 pm. The shot was pretty easy at 202 yards. The photo doesnt show it but, I had a tough time getting down to where the bear died. It died on a small ledge above a 50 foot cliff. It was a real pain in the ass to take care of on that little ledge.

I hunted the same area with Greenhorn last week and we saw a few bears, and a couple deer. The surrounding country is pretty impressive, wish I could post photos of it. Just wouldnt be right to do so as its not my spot, you'll just have to take my word for it. Oh, and thanks to Greenhorn for sharing such a great area.

Nope, didnt pack the 338 on this trip...was a deer hunt with potential for some long shooting. The bear just got in the way.

Shot it with the 7mm and 160 grain partitions. Bear went about 15 yards and had enough.
