I've been a subscriber to both Eastman's journals for a bit and found them to be an interesting read. Especially in these months when I've got nothing but planning going on. At $40 a year I figured they weren't a bad deal.

I knew of Huntin Fool but had a hard time justifying the $100 subscription. Though I hadn't really given a copy a real thorough reading until this last week when I read the January issue that they have posted online. WOW! It seemed like a night and day difference, not only did the magazine have twice as many pages as Eastman's but it didn't seem to be as filled with advertisements and also seemed to have had much more information.

I don't think I'll be renewing Eastman's this fall so I can scrounge up a Benjamin for the huntin fool.

What do you guys subscribe to?

Dropped them all except the Huntin Fool. The info is good but I quite simply enjoy the stories and articles. The magazine is top notch. I'll always be a subscriber!

Oh you meant hunting mags.

I get both, lately they seem to just blend together. Same old grip and grin and super tags I will never draw. Same units to apply for. Guess I am officially a grouchy prick.

Huntin Fool is a better quality magazine overall. Just do not buy raffle tickets for hunt #13-17 I believe, you will be sorry. The tickets for the Stone sheep hunt seem cool, $15000 back if you don't kill. Bet it doesn't apply to archery. Off subject.

Now, to get back to the May edition of Honcho.

I'm worried about which magazine you keep around for "light reading" next to the toilet. :D

WDH has a lifetime subscription

Guess who made the cover of the June issue?:hump::hump:

You don't have to ask for me to sign it for you, I already did at the publishers.

What is interesting is you have TWO subscriptions. You keep a "clean" one?

Well, Dude I think I subscribe to anything that I can for the Front Reception area. I don't have HF. Will have to look into that. John

Check out Varmint Hunter. If you're into all things guns and loads, then this is a great magazine. Lots of articles by members and very informative. At $35 for I think 4 issues a year, it's a little pricey, but it's the kind of magazine you keep around to look things up for future reference.

My two favorites are Sports Afield and Successful Hunter in that order. I like the world-wide hunting articles in SA.

Same old grip and grin and super tags I will never draw. Same units to apply for.
I agree. I can only read about 1 issue of that a year.
