Today is the first day that diesel cracked $5/gallon, locally. It's 5.029/gallon at the Town pump in Laurel.

I filled my newer truck, in preparation for a field trial this weekend. It was just under $120 to fill the tank.

I'm between a rock and,,,,,
We're expecting lightning in the next couple days. I have limited fuel. Do I not cut the firebreaks and save my fuel in case there's another wild fire or cut the breaks and not have the fuel to fight it? I'm leaning towards keeping both dozers full and hope the lightning passes us by.
