SD of 4.3... that dog'll hunt.About 10-15% lower with the SRP. I had single digit ES&SD before I peened the mouths and created uneven neck tension. Even with with the messed up necks, SD isn't overly terrible. These are from the "bad brass" in my post above.

Why so light on the 175's?Reloaded some 300 Win Mag target and hunting ammo a few nights ago with my brother-in-law.
On the left: Nosler 210 gr RDF with 78.24 gr of H1000, COAL of 3.49, FPS of ~ 2960
On the right: Barnes 175 gr LRX with 75.5 gr of RL-26, COAL of 3.47, FPS of ~ 3090
Mag well is a touch over 3.5 so seating to max depth essentially. Not interested in hand feeding. Jam point for my rifle is 3.62.
If you're in the market for SRP 6.5, Peterson has been more consistent from lot to lot than the Lapua. As an added bonus , Peterson provides the AMP codes for every lot of brass. No more "sacrificing" brass for annealing.SD of 4.3... that dog'll hunt.
Interesting. I'm sitting on about 500rounds of loaded LRP so probably won't be changing but I may go SRP if I build a 25 Creed. If you're in the market for SRP 6.5, Peterson has been more consistent from lot to lot than the Lapua. Assuming muzzle velocity and powder charge? The ladder test for my rifle showed that the accuracy of 3 shot-groups was best (0.4 MOA at 100 yards) at 75.5 gr of RL-26.Why so light on the 175's?
I dont cast or use all lead bullets in pistols because it's not cost effective for me. But you got one helluva deal on that carbide die set . Good for you!!Picked up a 357 mag. Anybody have any experience using all lead bullets? Curious if they foul the barrel up.

I use cast lead from Missouri Bullet Co. 158gr ACTION SWC. I don’t run them very hot. They are dirty/smoky but I can get probably 500 rounds through my GP100 before I start to notice things getting too dirty.Picked up a 357 mag. Anybody have any experience using all lead bullets? That makes sense. If you full size, does it prevent this?
Most of the ones I have used are powder coated to help prevent the lead fouling issue. Seems to work well enough in the 38 specials and the same for the .44 mag and my .458 SOCOM.Picked up a 357 mag. Anybody have any experience using all lead bullets? Curious if they foul the barrel up.
My guess would be that the pulled bullet would be the 3714 as the plier marks would cause more drag unless the bullet weight was lighter?Had a bit of time while waiting for the fertilizer truck so snuck down with three rounds and the prochrono
3714

3809
Tight little group and that was sitting in a chair over a flimsy tripod.
All brass looks good, the 3809 was probably the projectile I pulled from a 22 hornet. Had a bit of a tussle to get it to go in as it had marks from the pliers.
What velocities are you getting with those bullets?View attachment 372123
First hundred 25-7PRC. H1000 ladder tests with 127gr. Hammer HHTs and 134gr. Hornady ELD-Ms.
Good question, I’ll have to let you know in about a week. Should be in the 3230s with the ELD-Ms and hope to kiss 3350 with the HHTs.What velocities are you getting with those bullets?
