Thanks for the atta-boys guys. He's my best deer, and it's pretty cool to get him in my family's old hunting spot like that. I can't get over how cool of a rack it is. When I day dream about hunting these deer all year, this is pretty close to the exact rack I dream about.
It's amazing that these deer live their entire lives in the mountains, in an area absolutely crawling with bears, lions and wolves, and are able to get old and grow racks like this.
I got this in a text from my dad this afternoon, so I'm assuming he got over me shooting my buck out from under him and went and got his own.

Two nice ones there Randy..I wish I could share more hunts with my dad. His health isnt great so most hunting days are gone for him. I am taking my father in law for the next few days. He's 80 and still wants to try for the next few days. Enjoy every moment you can with family.
